Trails maintained by the Town are limited to the Kippens Recreational Complex area. This area is bound by Juniper Avenue to the south, Gaudon’s Lane to the west, and Ocean View Drive to the east. The area contains a small network of forested trails that extends approximately 500m north-south. The trail system is unpaved and is multi-use. The Recreational Complex Area, including the trail system, was developed and is currently maintained by the Town.

In addition to the scenic walking trails, the Recreational Complex Area also has numerous facilities for
the health and well-being of community residents. Playground, soccer pitch, softball field, tennis court, basketball courts, dog park, community garden, beach volleyball court, playground, community centre, and campground.

Additionally, Kippens has partnered with the town of Stephenville to own/operate an indoor ice rink (Stephenville Dome), indoor swimming pool (Regional Aquatic Centre), and a YMCA. The town also hosts its own Canada Day celebrations and winter carnival each year.

“Kippens Rec” is a children’s leisure and recreation program that runs during the summer months. The program entertains children through arts & crafts, as well as various sports and games.

Bay St. George Baseball

Bay St. George Baseball is helping to keep the children in the Bay St. George area active while they have fun. Our focus is to encourage participation, promote teamwork, develop character, and instill pride and respect for ourselves and others. We will strive to provide quality instruction as players develop and grow their baseball skills, and strongly promote sportsmanship.

Look up, get up, but never give up!
